MPC wheels for 2010

With 2010 just around the corner, MPC updates our wheel lineup for the coming year… and the fastest wheels in speed skating will only get faster – and for the skater, we’ve made it easier than ever to choose the right MPC wheel or combination of wheels to get the best performance.

New Hubs
The entire MPC line will be built around a redeveloped hub in 2010. The new hub will be more durable, provide all wheels with increased roll, and further integrate with M-Tech tires to provide a total wheel solution – more than just a separate tire and hub. The new hub will be rolled out to all wheel diameters.

Color Coding
All 2010 MPC wheels will be available in FIRM and X-FIRM variants, easily selected and mixed thanks to uniform color coding: All FIRM wheels will have a red hub, while all X-FIRM wheels will have a black hub.

Consolidated Line-up
With the all-course success of the Road War and the introduction of the Road War FIRM, MPC consolidates its wheel line for 2010 – phasing out the Street Fight F and XF wheels. 2010’s two Road War and Black Track wheels complement each other to cover all track and road skating conditions, with the Storm Surge taking care of high performance on wet surfaces.

The wheel that blew the others away in 2009 gets even better in 2010 – with a dramatic new graphic bringing attention to a wheel that will roll even more on a redeveloped hub, while still providing the grip and snap that made the Road War unmatched. The Road War XFIRM will feature a mostly black graphic, a black inner band and black hub. In 2010 we introduce the Road War FIRM – the same killer Road War but with a real liking for the Track – the red FIRM brings even more grip to the Road War, and sets itself apart with a red graphic, inner band and hub.

The wheel that redefined what was possible from track skating – takes on a bold new look for 2010. The Black Track FIRM is red all over, a clear outer urethane poured on a red inner band and matched with a red hub. The XFIRM Black Track, like its name suggests, will be all black – with a clear outer urethane covering a black inner band on a black hub.

Still unparalleled in speed wheels, the Hydrophilichaving a strong affinity for water race formula of the Storm Surge means it is the wheel relied on by all pro teams to be competitive in the rain. In 2010 the Storm Surge gets even better – rolling more on a redeveloped hub it becomes an even more potent wet-surface skating solution – and gets a bold new graphic to suit.
